Wearable Technology & Memory
Can wearable technology increase memory?
Drs. Charan Ranganath and Tanya Jonker are examining the ways that wearable technology can be used to improve memory for real world experiences. In their study, Ranganath and Jonker will have participants attend educational seminars at the California Raptor Center while wearing cameras. The photos from these cameras will be used to enhance memory for what was learned at the California Raptor Center.
Wearable technology offers considerable promise as a tool for enhancing memory, particularly when combined with well-established cognitive principles from laboratory research. Supported by the strong education mandate of the California Raptor Center, this project will reveal the uses of wearable technology for improving memory for educational materials and personal experiences.
